Here you can find latest news and updates at DAKARAI!
September 9th, 2011:
We tested both boys of our D-litter and one of the girls: all fanconi clear! :-) Boys: Dakarai Don't Let Me Wait (Basse) & Dakarai Don't Dare To Tell (Raid) and the girl Dakarai Don't You Know Me (Miina). They are out from breeding Ch Klassic's Daydream Believer X Ch Dakarai Jamili Hadiya.
November 6th, 2010: No updates in english version during the whole year 2010, due website problems. Now all problems are fixed. At the moment 'Bea', Dakarai Beyond Belief is in Tarto international show (Estonia): BOB, CAC, CACIB. Group finals are not yet ready...more updates later
December 14th: Blog for our 2009 litter: http://dakarai2009puppies.blogspot.com/.
November 28th: Could not be happier as Pinja (Fin, Est Ch Dakarai Jamili Lina) won over 15 bitches and placed BOS with CACIB, even when she's 'suffering' of false pregnancy. Judge loved her type, and head expressions - and she is turly lovely girl! Pinja's yearling daughter Dakarai Burning Sun went 3rd best bitch with CC. Dakarai breeders group was awarded with honour price and BOB-placement. :-) D. Beg N'Steal entered second time in juniors, and he gaited extremely beutifully but stacking was challenging and he got very good. D. Beyond Belief got again excellent as expected, then our stripey girls D. Pillow Talk and her sister D. Pins N'Needles (both false pregnant) got excellent & very good. Our sincere thank you to the lovely judge, Mrs Noreen Harris from Australia. And the icing on the top was Faruk's (Klassic's Daydream Believer - the father to be to our next litter) 9th CC!!!
We did not show breeders group in big group ring, since few weeks ago we agreed to visit one of the Q-puppies on the way back home, and we wanted to drive back home during hours of afternoon when it's not dark yet.
November 21st: Fin Ch Dakarai Jamili Hadiya was ultrasounded two days ago, and she is expecting puppies to tricolour Faruk, Klassic's Daydream Believer (8 x CC, 3 x resCC, 1 x CACIB, 1 x resCACIB, 1 x BOS, 3 x BOB, 1 x Group-1, 1 x Group-2, 1 x BIS-2).
37th day from breeding. Thank you Taru for this lovely photo!
November 14th: Great news from Lure Coursing front: 5 bitces from 6 invitations to Suomi Cup Lure Coursing 2010 copetition are bred by Dakarai. Also one of the six males was bred by Dakarai. Good luck to all 6 invited furry kids (Dakarai Pins N'Needles, D. Jamili Sharab, D. Pillow Talk, D. Jamili Lina and D. Jamili Titi & D Au Chocolat)!
November 12th: Photo greetings from Lyyli (Ch Dakarai Jamili Hadiya (from AI breeding to Jamila's Jamdari)), hopefully the mother to be. It's 4 weeks from breeding. This photo was taken in the beginning of this week.

October 22nd: Great news! We got a confirmation from Finnish Kennel Club, and Lyyli's (Fin CH Dakarai Jamili Hadiya) hips are excellent (A/A), as we expected. Two other sisters has also A-hips!
October 20th: Fin Ch Dakarai Jamili Hadiya was bred to Klassic's Daydream Believer (Faruk) on October 16th. Puppies expected around December 18th.

September 25th Our new puppy plans are ready:

And here's the pedigree. Sire: Klassic's Daydream Believer (eyes PPM, fanconi clear, thyroid normal) and dam: Fin Ch Dakarai Jamili Hadiya (hips preliminary statement excellent, eyes clear, fanconi carrier, thyroid normal). Both parents-to-be will be also hip x-rayed. Puppies expected before Christmas. I'll create an own page for this becoming litter a bit later... :-)
August 10th 2009 Good news from Sweden and from Lyyli: In Sweden Pajson (Dakarai Piece of Cake) is health tested with minor PPM, excellent hips (A) and normal thyroid values (T4, TSH, TgAA). Finally the rest of Lyyli's (Fin Ch Dakarai Jamili Hadiya) thyroid values arrived and all is in references (T4, TSH, TgAA, T3AA, T4AA). br>
August 4th 2009 Slowely we are getting ready with our new puppy plans. Probably the mother to be (hopefully) is Lyyli, Fin Ch Dakarai Jamili Hadiya (who is an aunt to our lovely B-litter whelped by Fin Ch, Fin RC Ch Dakarai Jamili Lina). Lyyli is one of the 6 r/w girls who was born from frozen semen breeding to Am CH Jamila's Jamadari. Lyyli has lovely temperament which, and her thyroid is tested normal twice (2008, 2009) and she has totally clean eyes. More about this planned breeding on later date.

July 30th 2009 It's been 'a while' since last updates in english. I update more often our blog - please take a peak. The other brindle male from our last years litter Sumo (Dakarai Picturesque) has been tested probably fanconi clear. His little sister Kiira (Dakarai Pick A Flick) has gained two CC's and few res-CC's during this year. Kiira was also hip and elbow x-rayed with healthy results (hips A, elbows 0/0) and her patellas are also normal.
Dakarai Jamili Nulaa has become a grandmother. Her Hanishan bred son "Zizu" in South-Africa has got a very lovely female puppy at kennel Marikate. You can find a head shot of this lovely girl on our Blog -page.
April 5th 2009 Yesterday our B-puppies took part in their first show. Only 3 days ago they turned 5 months old. Our judge was a whippet/pharaoh hound breeder Mr Jarmo Vuorinen (Knl Scheik's). He has such a wonderful hand, and a good eye too, for basenjis! Hertta (Dakarai Burning Sun) was BOB and BIG-2 puppy, and Sting (Dakarai Beg N'Steal) BOS-puppy. Bea (Dakarai Beyond Belief) 2nd best female puppy with HP, and Ansa (Dakarai Byzance Pearl) 3rd with HP. My 'breeder's group' was awarded also with HP. But we didn't show it in a 'big ring', since our 3 yrs old daughter was also first time in a dog show, and she needed her nap.
5 months old 'Hertta', Dakarai Burning Sun winning BOB-puppy and BIG-2!! Way to go Hertta and handler Tiina Vesterinen!

Jan. 4th 2009: Already yesterday we had our first puppymeeting at Hertta's home. Puppies played together a lot, made friends with Viona saluki (a lovely smooth 3 yrs old cream female) and they tried first time lure coursing ;-)
Puppies were a bit tired and too excited when I stacked them on table, none of them was relaxed and they were squirming in my hands. Anyway we took some new photos. They all have very lovely impression, short back, super cute temperament and lovely length of legs :-) Thank you Myran & Pinja for these lovely furry kidz!
